After being a listener for many years, I was able to see Pendulum for the first time in 2018. During that set, I was obsessed with the epic, edge-of-your-seat style they bring along with their fully layered sound design and massive rock influence/style -- it's safe to say that it's as blissful as it is heavy.

When I discovered the opportunity to remix their legendary song, "Granite," I was immediately intrigued. I wanted to emphasize the fusion of progressive rock and drum & bass while incorporating my own gritty neuro sounds, break-heavy drumstep style, and grainy processing. Keeping the heart of the original song in mind, I wanted the preserve the "heavy but blissful" style that has stuck with me for some time.

I hope you enjoy my first completed remix as much as I enjoyed making it!
